Panthers News · Springboro White Boys Tennis loses a heart breaker to Centerville


Another great day for tennis at Springboro on Monday. The Springboro White Boys Tennis team took on Centerville in the last match of the season and also Senior Night. This was a great match that consisted of a come from behind victory, and 3 tiebreakers. First wanted to thank all of the seniors, Connor Cook, Tristan Wolfram, Jason Jiang, and Eric Maurer for all of their hard work, and dedication to the program. Connor Cook won 7-5 and 7-5 both in come from behind victories. Linus Kennedy won 6-1 and 6-3 in dominating fashion. Apurv Dongre lost in 3 sets 6-4, 3-6 and 3-6. This was a great match and both players were exhausted after. In a fourth singles match, Nate Darner lost 0-6 and 1-6. In doubles action, Tristan Wolfram and Jason Jiang lost in three sets as well 6-2, 4-6, and 2-6 in another highly competitive match. In the final doubles match of the evening, Eric Maurer and Mitchell Post lost 1-6 and lost in a tiebreaker 2-7.  Centerville won the match 2-3. The season ended on Monday evening with an overall record of 5-6-1. These players competed in every match, had great attitudes, and supported one another. Thank you for everyone that came out to support these players during the season. Finally, once again thank you to the seniors and the rest of the players for representing Springboro.
