Game Preview:

The Panthers and the Middies enter week 2 after both coming off opening week wins. This is the 4th meeting between the two schools with a record of 3-0 for the Springboro Panthers against the Middletown Middies. Last year during the meeting Springboro won 42-26 after a rain delay they finished the next day.

Last week, Middletown traveled deep into Cincinnatis and West Side and routed Western Hills 490. The Middies exploded onto the 2019 scene with numerous big plays en-root to a 35-0 halftime lead over the host Mustangs, and an abbreviated second half led to a 49-0 final. The returning first-team all-GMC back logged 10 carries for 202 yards (20.2 avg.) and three TDs. Bryant ripped off TD runs 86 and 52 yards, while also added one kick return for 60 yards

Springboro had a thrashing victory over the Mason Comets 38-7. Senior QB Landon Palmer was perfect on the night with 11 for 11 with 135 yards passing and 3 touchdowns verse Mason. Behind a massive and experienced offensive line, Junior RB Moise Armbruster was able to rush 13 times and for 126 yards as the Panthers leaped out to a 27-0 halftime cushion and never looked back. It all started with the edfense though with the opening drive by the Mason comets ending in a pick six from Josh Collins, which was only 1 of his 2 interceptions on the night. Junior Kicker Matt Dapore chipped in four PATs and two FGs, with both of the attempts connecting from over 40 yards out.

Make sure everyone comes out and supports the Sringboro Panthers on Friday!
