The Springboro boys basketball team took a trip to GWOC opponent Trotwood on Friday. All three teams were in action. The freshmen won and the JV lost. In varsity action, Trotwood jumped out to an early lead by shooting 5/6 from the 3. Springboro gained its composure and trailed by 6 21-27 heading in the 2nd quarter. In the second quarter, Trotwood would pick up the pressure and force Springboro into quick shots and turnovers. They would stretch the lead to 48-33 at the half. Springboro made some adjustments and settled down in the second half. They cut into the Trotwood lead and trailed 55-62. In the fourth Springboro would continue its momentum and move the ball effectively, take good shots, and played hard on defense. Halfway through the 4th Trotwood had a one-point lead with 3 minutes to go. A good offensive position by Springboro found Matt Yim open for a 3. He took the shot but it went in and out. The final 3 minutes went back and forth but Trotwood would seal the game with free throws. With 3.5 seconds left on the clock, Trotwood went in for one last shot and dunked it to win the game 83-74. Springboro had 4 players in double digits lead by Noah Moser with 24, Kahleel Trent 17, Landon Palmer 11 (and 13 rebounds), and Sam Feldman had 10.
