The Tecumseh Arrows connected on 16 3’s on Wednesday night but a late foul in OT sent Rachel Gillum to the line where she calmly sank 2 FT’s and a desperation 3 narrowly missed to give the Panthers a great victory. Gillum tallied a career high 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Springboro. Peyton Nation tallied 23 points and got 6 boards while Maddy Bakosh and Jordan Hobbs chipped in 11 and 10 points respectively.
Tecumseh charged to a 26-12 first quarter lead but Springboro rallied to outscore the Arrows 20-8 in the second quarter. The lead changed hands in the second half frequently before Gillum’s FT’s decided the tight contest.
The win improves Springboro’s record to 7-7. The Lady Panthers host Wayne next Wednesday evening in another GWOC contest.
